Design and performance of distributed systems and computer networks, particularly
focusing on reliability, scalability, and extensibility achieved over the wide-area.
Professor Albrecht is currently working on the Global Environment for Network Innovations (GENI) project sponsored by the National Science Foundation. She is Co-chair for the GENI Working Group on Experiment Workflow and Services.
Ph.D. in Computer Science, University of California San Diego (2007); M.S. in Computer Science, Duke University (2003); B.S. in Math and Computer Science, Gettysburg College (2001). Professor Albrecht joined the Computer Science Department at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2009 as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at Williams College.
Dr. Albrecht is a member of ACM, IEEE, and USENIX Computing Associations.
