About

Rui Wang's research interests are in computer graphics: global illumination algorithms, real-time rendering, 3D scanning and reconstruction, graphics hardware, and image processing. His dissertation research focuses on developing new interactive techniques for high-quality, realistic image synthesis using wavelet-based precomputation.

Wang joined the Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Massachusetts as an assistant professor in 2006. He received an NSF CAREER award in 2008.
