CSCF poster printing is limited to CICS research and course use; this allows us to provide better support for our faculty, staff and graduate students. We do not have the resources to allow other departments to print posters here. Other departments should check with the campus resources below in the Links section.

***Please read this entire page before submitting your poster printer request.

Submitting Your Request

Contact the CSCF group through email at System [at] cs [dot] umass [dot] edu (system[at]cs[dot]umass[dot]edu). Please do not wait until the last minute to use these printers! Make arrangements ahead of time to make sure that the printer you want is available at the time that you need it.

Your email request should include:

  • Poster format should be in PDF format via a sharable link to a Google Drive or OneDrive document/folder.
  • Verify that your group/professor is willing to pay for you to use the poster printer(s). CC them on the ticket to system if they are paying.
  • Date you would like the poster ready for

Dimensions

  • Max short side 41.5"
  • Max Long Side: Variable. Anything longer than 60" please specify so we can make sure we have enough paper loaded.
  • Please DO NOT use full-color backgrounds in your designs. Please use white backgrounds only!

Pick up Location

Posters must be picked up in CS126.

Cost

The current cost is $12.00 per linear foot. (Example a 36"x24" poster will cost $24 and a 36"x36" will cost $36 to print. A 48x36 will cost $48)

  • We can bill this to your professor/group
  • We accept cash payment
  • We DO NOT accept Credit/Debit Cards
***If you are a professor and you are looking to print multiple posters in excess of 10+, please email us to set a time. This must be done 5 days prior to the date you wish to pick up the posters. We have to give extra time for consumable replacements (ink/paper), reprints, errors, or physical issues with the printer.

Note: We do not carry cardboard or plastic tubes for transporting finished posters, as a rule.  The University store does; cardboard ones are quite cheap.  The plastic ones are 3" in diameter and expand from 28" to 49", but cost approximately $20.
