Cybersecurity Hackathon

Save the date: on Friday, October 25, the Cybersecurity Institute will be holding its second annual hackathon in CS 150/151. The event will bring together CICS graduate students, faculty, and cybersecurity industry professionals from Massachusetts-based companies MITRE and Pixel Forensics to make progress on building a system that determines the appropriate age rating of an app based on the content shown to users. Projects will involve techniques for scraping content from apps and the web, labeling content, and machine learning classifiers that consider text and images against app store age rating criteria.
