Search Advisory Committee Appointed For New Dean Of Manning College Of Information & Computer Sciences

Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Fouad Abd-El-Khalick has appointed a search advisory committee to aid in the selection of the next dean of the Manning College of Information & Computer Sciences (CICS). Dean Laura Haas, who has led CICS since 2017, announced her plans earlier this semester to return to the faculty at the end of the current academic year.
Sanjay Raman, dean of the College of Engineering, and Laura Vandenberg, associate vice chancellor and vice provost for research and engagement, will serve as co-chairs of the committee, members of which include:
- Ivon Arroyo, professor in CICS
- Fran Berman, research professor, Stuart Rice honorary chair and director of Public Interest Technology in CICS
- Jaime Dávila, senior lecturer in CICS
- David Irwin, professor of electrical and computer engineering in the College of Engineering
- Deepak Ganesan, professor in CICS
- Hung Le, assistant professor in CICS
- Brian Levine, Distinguished Professor and director of the University of Massachusetts Cybersecurity Institute in CICS
- Andre Kenneth “Chase” Randall, graduate student in CICS
- Anisha Sharda, undergraduate student in CICS
- Prashant Shenoy, associate dean of computing and facilities and Distinguished Professor in CICS
- Pamela Stawasz, senior academic advisor in CICS
The university has retained Korn Ferry to support the search, which will launch this month, and finalists’ campus visits will take place during the spring semester.
